Just a couple of quick comments (sorry this a bit rushed!)
When is a consultation not a consultation?
- White Paper launch document 'Unlocking the Talent of our Communities' published, March 5, ref: Communities and Local Government, March 5. Views sought, but won't appear as a consultation (eg on www.tellthemwhatyouthink.org (?)
Getting to the nub of it
Whilst I agree that people can't contribute to consultations if they don't know about them, once people do then isn't the nub of it (to build trust, etc) that they can see that their contribution has some effect? I've just replied extensively to two and then there's the above. I'm not completely unused to this sort of thing but even I am very hazy about how people can see that their comments make any sort of difference (and why I should bother trying).
