John Sheridan is Head of e-Services at the Office of Public Sector Information which is part of The National Archives.

John's work spans aspects of information policy, technology and service delivery. Amongst OPSI's responsibilities is the re-use of public sector information, the management of Crown copyright, official publishing for example of legislation and the official Gazettes, and regulation of those parts of government which trade in information.

John is particularly interested in semantic technology and the development of the Semantic Web, including the use of technologies such as RDF and OWL, alongside approaches for embedding semantics in XHTML, like microformats and RDFa.
